The purpose of the Mental Health Counseling class (EDPC 5322) is to provide professional orientation on mental health counseling, including the development of a professional identity, understanding of credentials, professional memberships, accreditation, and exploring the issues and services related to mental health counseling. This course is specifically designed for students pursuing degrees in mental health counseling in a CACREP-accredited program who plan on working as professional counselors in various counseling settings.
