  Works as a faculty advisor to ensure the integrity of the membership application process by verifying the accuracy of every applicant’s data and suitability for the honor of membership within the Society.   Facilitates and co-leads (with Dr. Stephen Lenz) group mentoring for four TAARC Emerging Leaders, including two assistant professors and two doctoral students. Coordinate individual mentoring pairs and guide the overall structure of the Emerging Leaders Program.

  Served as a judge for the Presidential AI Challenge, evaluating K–12 student projects that applied artificial intelligence to address community challenges and promote innovation in AI education.

  Nominated and serving as the official faculty representative for the College of Education on the Provost’s Community Engagement Council. Participating in university-wide discussions focused on strengthening campus–community partnerships, supporting engaged scholarship, and advancing UTEP’s strategic initiatives in community engagement. As the College of Education’s delegate, I provide input on council decisions, communicate college priorities, and collaborate with faculty and community leaders to promote meaningful, equitable, and sustainable engagement efforts across the region.

  Selected as an at-large position member to join the council, which serves to participate in the council and contribute to sub-committee work. The Council on the Status of Women aims to ensure an environment that supports the rights of all women at the University of Iowa, which is committed to working in partnership with the University to develop policies.

  The Student Advisory Committee on Sexual Misconduct (SACSM) at the University of Iowa

  Selected as a student member to join the committee, which serves as a student voice to the UI Anti-violence Coalition. The SACSM solicits input from a broad range of students to inform prevention, intervention, and policy work, helping to monitor and improve progress on university plans and commitments in the domain of sexual misconduct.
